Chris is an environmental scientist specialising in the botany and ecology of woodland ecosystems. He has worked in hands-on bush regeneration and community extension roles and has undertaken vegetation surveys and mapping for government agencies. Chris has seven years’ experience in GIS as applied to land resource mapping and interpretation, air photo and satellite imagery interpretation, remote area field work, plant specimen collection and identification, Regional Ecosystem mapping and project management. Chris has worked in many north and central Queensland bioregions including the Mitchell Grass Downs, Desert Uplands, Brigalow Belt North, Gulf Plains, Einasleigh Uplands and North West Highlands. Before joining NRA Chris managed his own consultancy business servicing a range of clients including regional NRM groups, CSIRO and Greening Australia.
