With more than ten years of botanical experience, Ing has a strong working knowledge of the flora of Queensland, across a wide range of vegetation types. He has worked in numerous bioregions in Queensland, including Cape York Peninsula, Einasleigh Uplands, Wet Tropics, North West Highlands, Northern Brigalow Belt, the Central Queensland coast and south-east Queensland.
Ing has particular expertise in plant ecological processes, having completed his PhD on this topic in the subtropical rainforest communities of south-east Queensland.
Ing has applied his botanical skills to a variety of environmental impact assessments for a range of development clients in both the private and public sector. He undertakes regular environmental assessments across Queensland and has worked extensively on natural resource inventory and development projects across north and central Queensland and in Papua New Guinea.
Ing also has well developed skills in GIS and database management.
