Martine completed her degree in 2003, majoring in Ecology and Environmental Science and specialising in terrestrial ecosystems, environmental statistics and ecological population management. She has field experience in surface and ground water monitoring, aquatic ecology surveys, rain water tank sampling, revegetation assessment, and flora and fauna surveys.

Recent work includes the preparation of water quality licence conditions for mining clients, assessment of rainwater tank contamination, EMS preparation, aquatic ecology field surveys and reporting, and interpretation of water quality results against licence conditions. She has also been seconded to various mining clients to assist with EMS implementation, environmental reporting and general environmental management.

Martine has skills in data management, statistical analysis and data interpretation, and has recently completed a post-graduate course in experimental design and statistics.
