Martine has seven years' experience as an environmental scientist with NRA. Her experience includes water quality and aquatic ecology monitoring and reporting, preparation of water quality licence conditions, revegetation assessment, flora and fauna surveys, compliance reporting and impact investigation.
Martine has specialist skills in experimental design, statistical analysis and data interpretation. She recently completed a post-graduate course in experimental design and statistics and is currently studying part-time for a Master of Scientific Studies.
Martine has worked with clients in both the public and private sector, in particular the resource industries. She has also been seconded to various mining clients to assist with EMS implementation, environmental reporting and general environmental management.
Recent projects include the design of trials and analysis of results to determine the success of various mine site rehabilitation treatment scenarios, baseline water quality assessment and preparation of EMP and EIS documentation for coal seam gas projects, preparation of water quality licence conditions for various mining clients, and assessment of rainwater tank contamination from mining activities.
Martine is currently conducting a research project, with a view to publication, utilising macroinvertebrate and water quality data collected by NRA to assess commonly used data metrics for their ability to detect impacts in ephemeral aquatic ecosystems. |
