Darcy has over 10 years’ experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on soil, surface water and groundwater assessment. His educational background includes tertiary qualifications in environmental science and environmental engineering. Darcy has managed small teams of technical staff to support large environmental remediation projects, with diverse environmental risks ranging from soil contamination to extensive groundwater plume assessment to in situ residual explosives screening.
Darcy’s project experience includes development of environmental authority amendment applications, environmental management plans, and erosion and sediment control plans; implementation of environmental monitoring programs; effluent modelling (MEDLI); and creation of databases and data management. He also has knowledge of soil, water and soil gas/landfill gas sampling and monitoring technologies, and was involved in the deployment of over 40 downhole water logging systems, GasClam landfill monitoring and Summa canister sampling.
Darcy is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ #27080) and a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC #9664).
